ABOUT US
AppleGarden is a health conscious preservation focused breeding program located in Southern Ontario, Canada where our dogs are part of our lives.
The goal is to produce consistency in beautiful breed type, health, and sound temperament – dogs that will proudly represent the Chihuahua breed.
We aim for mentally and physically sound dogs by screening for genetic disorders via Embark DNA Testing, and examine for eye, patella, heart issues following OFA guidelines. We further evaluate our dogs by training them and competing in Conformation dog shows and Performance events. This gives us opportunity to work on bettering the breed as a whole, as well as give every individual AppleGarden puppy a chance of living a fulfilling and healthy life.
We enjoy hiking and traveling with our dogs as much as we love participating in the canine sport events where we get to see our friends and many other fellow dog fanciers.
