⭐️Toxic plants for dogs

It is commonly known that there are foods that are toxic to dogs like raisins, chocolate, etc. But do you ever think of which plant can harm your furry friend? I enjoy having flowers and plants around the home and trust my dogs enough not to eat them. But you never know when they decide to nibble on them, so it’s better to be cautious and prepared.

Here are some of most common, but harmful to dogs plants: ⠀

🌸Azalea – I love its flowers, but always place it away from dogs. This plant causes vomiting and diarrhea. In severe cases, can cause lower blood pressure and be lethal. ⠀

🌸Tulip – causes irritation, excessive drooling, nausea. The bulb is the most poisonous part of the plant. ⠀

🌸Peonies – another gorgeous plant. Can be a reason for decreased energy, vomiting and diarrhea. ⠀

🌸Tomato plant – if ingested, can cause weakness, slow heart rate, drowsiness, diarrhea. ⠀

🌸Aloe Vera – while widely used in food and beauty industry by humans, it can cause tremors, lethargy, diarrhea and vomiting is dogs.⠀

🌸Begonia – a very common summer plant for outside décor. However, if ingested by a dog, can cause excessive inflammation of the mouth, as well as drooling and vomiting.⠀

Keep your dogs safe! Read about a plant before buying it if you know it will be at reachable access to your dog ❤️
